Hi Alexandra, I thought your post on backwards design and learning outcomes was very insightful. I also find I am more successful in my courses if I am able to mark my calendar with due dates and map out time I have to dedicate to working on projects, studying, completing readings, etc. Without backwards learning I feel as though I have a constant cloud of stress and worry hanging over me. This design allows me to stay sane in knowing I am organized and on task with my upcoming work. I also think backwards design can allow for students to achieve greater learning outcomes. This is because students are able to properly map out their time and there is never any last minute rush to hand something in. Much of my worst work in University has come from when I haven’t allocated enough time to sufficiently complete an assignment. I think this is great tool that could be taught at the beginning of every university students education.
